Capturing the Moment: Jan. 8, 2008 5:08 PM On location waiting for the sunset at Morgan Point Grand Canyon right after the second snowstorm of the season. Without notice, a fog rose from the bottom of the canyon to form these clouds. In a matter of a few mintues, these clouds hovered all around Morgan Point for a few brief moments and then they were gone.

Capturing the Moment: Oct.29, 2007 6:06 AM at the South side of Totem Pole in Monument Valley. Waiting for the sunrise, at the first hint of light I saw "good" clouds. Then, the entire sky looked like a fiery furnace with intense reds, blues oranges and yellows. The streaking cloud patterns made the shot! The magic lasted for a brief 20 minutes.

Capturing the Moment: June 13, 2007 6:12 AM Puerto Penasco on the Sea of Cortez, Mexico. A four-month old young Osprey is in flight with a half fish given to him by his mother. This moment came and went in the blink of an eye. The shot was captured on a hand-held Canon 5D, Canon 100-400mm L, ISO 400, f5.6, 1/1600sec, 330mm fl.
Volcanic Chimney Mountain
Capturing the Moment: Oct. 30, 2007 10:56 AM on a return trip from Monument Valley, on U.S. 163 doing 65 mph and I saw this image of the Volcanic Chimney Mountain, Monument Valley. I pulled off the road, grabbed my gears and ran for a good setup. I quickly setup for the shot before losing the perfect lighting and the clouds.
